Men's Ministry Coaching
A weekly character study for men
Wednesday mornings from 6:45-7:30 am
at the Oasis Coffeehouse, Riverside &
Mitchell in St. Joseph. There's always
plenty of hot coffee, fresh donuts from
Cardinal Country, and great fellowship
with men from various churches
throughout the city. A different pastor or
men's leader highlights one character
trait each week to help the man of God
live a life of impact and integrity.

Statistically we know that, when a
man takes his responsibility as the
spiritual leader of his home seriously,
his wife and children will follow. It is
our conviction that calling & equipping
men as spiritual leaders is not just
one of many ministries offered by the
local church, but a vital component to
the overall health and strength of the
congregation. Joseph Resource Group is available to act as a mentor/coach to the
local church in this critical area, working with a core leadership team to develop a
disciple making ministry to men. Utilizing our contacts and relationship with
national men's ministry organizations such as Building Brothers, Great Dads, A
Chosen Generation, Character That Counts, and the National Coalition of Men's
Ministries, we facilitate a 12 month process that includes the following components:
1. Meet monthly with the Men’s Ministry Leadership Team, helping define and
understand the role of each man on the team.
2. Communicate 2x/month (email) with the Men’s Ministry Leadership Team.
This will include reading and commenting on the book, “Effective Men’s
Ministry” (Zondervan).
3. Meet with the pastoral staff as requested.
4. Help develop a comprehensive men’s ministry schedule with purpose
statement, goals and objectives, time line and measurable results.
5. Schedule a regional men’s ministry event or lead the charge for a series of
entry points specific to men.
6. Teach an equipping seminar for the men of your church.
7. Help in implementing a small group ministry for men at your church.
In return the participating church agrees to:
1. Mobilize the church to pray specifically for the ministry to men.
2. Commit pastoral staff to champion men’s ministry.
3. Develop communication tools to give high visibility to men’s ministry
4. Contribute $250 per month to Joseph Resource Group for the duration of our
partnership. (Resource materials are not included in this cost and are based on
the needs and objectives of each individual congregation.)
